Business: Emergency Response

Case: AMR has a vast number of locations, multiple of which are remote. Obviously an ambulance must be deployable 24/7/365 and it is often used at high speeds and requires much maneuvering under tough conditions. Being involved at crash sites which include a lot of debris, tires are an object of constant concern. What you will never want to happen is an ambulance having a blow out or flat or deflating tire.

AMR learned that; when Emergency Response Vehicless came back into rotation the inner dual tire is sometimes heavily below the required pressure (up to 20/25 pounds!). The vehicles operate on average with a standard required tire pressure for all six tires but sometimes the tire could be 30% underinflated. Regardless of the obvious road safety implications, fuel consumption, tire wear and CO2 emission are evidently through the roof.

To tackle the problems and assist fleet management in their efforts P-Eye was chosen as a smart tool to monitor and manage the tire pressure. The low costs and easy installment was a major decision maker.

Customer testimonial:

Joaquin Graham Operations Manager AMR New Mexico: “I am pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness and ease of use of P-Eyes. The crews are happy with the sensors. It gives them the security they need every time they step into the vehicle. When they are happy, I am very happy and it saves us money on fuel and tires at the same time.”
