Deli XL
Deli XL has set itself the goal of reducing its CO2 emissions by 20% per ton in relation to 2008 by 2015. An ambitious goal, and certainly in view of the extensive logistics activities.
In order to decrease the emissions of their trucks and vehicles, Deli XL has implemented measures that focus on the reduction and cleaning of the transport movements. This includes tire pressure measuring systems on trucks that warn drivers when tire pressures are low.
Driver Deli XL: “Deli XL has started a tire pressure pilot: P-Eyes have been fitted to the valves on the truck tires. These are fitted with LEDs that flash when the tire pressure is too low. These valves allow me to immediately see if my tires are at the correct pressure. This saves fuel in the long term. And that reduces CO2 emissions. A simple, result-oriented method that works.”
