P-Eye tire pressure sensors forms part of the Volvo Safety Trucks safety package

As from january, special Volvo Safety Trucks can be found at all Volvo Truck dealers in the Netherlands. The Volvo Safety Trucks focus on the theme ‘safety’ and are appropriately designed in a yellow luminous colour with test dummies. All Volvo Safety Trucks are fitted with P-Eye tire pressure sensors by T Comm Tracking and Tracing.

Chris de Vos, parts manager at Volvo Truck Nederland explains: "The correct tire pressure in trucks is of utmost important, because this significantly increases the traffic safety. Furthermore, with the correct pressure, the wear and tear on tires is reduced, there is a saving of up to 7% in fuel and CO₂ emissions are lowered. This links in perfectly with the core values of Volvo Trucks: quality, safety and care for the environment. P-Eye offers exactly what we need for our Volvo trucks."

P-Eye ensures that the trucks have the correct tire pressures and therefore increases traffic safety.

P-Eye is a tire pressure sensor that replaces the valve cap of a tire. A small LED light is fitted in the P-Eye that starts to flash when the tire pressure is below the pre-set alarm value. At a single glance, the P-Eye shows whether a tire is at the correct pressure, which enables the fleet of vehicles to be checked several times more efficiently.
